For special studies on membrane and cell properties, cationic (positive charge) or anionic (negative charge) groups have been introduced into FITC-Polysucrose (renamed from Ficoll™).
FITC-CM-Polysucroses are standard FITC-Polysucroses carrying carboxymethyl-substituents. The carboxymethyl(CM)-content corresponds to about 1 CM group for every 5 glucose units.
