TRITC Lysine Dextran
TRITC-dextrans have now been used for 25 years for studying microcirculation or membrane permeability.
TdB Consultancy is now launching TRITC Lysine Dextran products – dextran derivatives carrying both free primary amines and free carboxylates as well as the fluorescent dye Tetramethylrhodamine (TRITC). Lysine is a naturally occurring amino acid and popular moiety for conjugation and fixation in biochemistry and life sciences.TRITC Lysine Dextran is supplied as a pink to purple, water-soluble powder and is an environmentally friendly fluorescent aminodextran developed in order to meet an increasing demand from the scientific community for non-toxic, versatile polysaccharides. TRITC Lysine Dextran is also known as FLUORO-RUBY ® or FLUORORUBY ®.
TRITC Lysine dextran is a dextran polymer chain of various MW (see below) carrying the natural amino acid Lysine as a substituent. Lysine Dextran can be labeled with dyes or biomolecules under mild conditions and fixes well in cells and tissue when treated with formaldehyde or glutaraldehyde. Fluorescein is a bright dye that is used world-wide and absorbs at 550 nm and emits light at 572 nm.
Our high quality TRITC Lysine Dextrans offer:
- Excellent MW distribution (Low Pd)
- Bright fluorescence
- Fixability in cells and tissue
- Easy conjugation to dyes or biomolecules
- Full water solubility and excellent stability in solution or on the shelf
